I've been keeping a few plants in holding, waiting to use them in a future project. They don't get quite as much light as they'd like so the plants are a little leggy, but in this shot, there are a few worth mentioning.
from left to right...
the red oak-like leaves are the one thing I'm having a hard time remembering. I got them from Hydrophyte... very nice. I wish I could give it more light. I really like these.
then we have your garden variety, aerogarden grown and transplanted, purple basil. Like used in asian cooking. very fragrant. took to water fast.
next, also a score from Hydrophyte, Ruellia brittoniana.. or Mexican Petunias. These are so easy and have really nice leaves.
There's then a little sprig of Peperomia caperata or something similar. it's barely hanging on from a clipping I got.
And last Hygrophila angustifolia in bloom. Yup, willow hygro that I transferred from an aquarium is doing great. I've had purple blooms like this for 3 weeks now, they just keep coming.
