Got home from work tonite and my F0 Gold Head Compressicep had passed away. This was not expected. He was in my tank for about 2 months. Tankmates are 1 cop. mloto,1 brichardi,1 rubescens (sp), 1 pair juli trans., red empress trio(1 m 2 f),1 black calvus juvi., 1 bristlenose ple*o all in a 120 gal. tank with 70 lbs of lace rock. The other fish have been in the tank for 1 year, just thought I would share my loss with people that would understand.:(

that happened to me a while back but with all my fish $200 all up not including my german breed protomelas"red empress" witch were breeding

Man I hate losing fish. Especially ones you've seen grow and come up to yor fingers to eat.

BTW what is FO...i've heard of this term but don't know what it means

F0 refers to wild-caught specimens. Each tank-bred generation thereafter gets a higher number: F1, F2, etc.

to answer your question verse, i really dont know what happened. everything seemed to be ok. he was eating his share at every feeding. none of the others messed with nor "beat" him up in any way. i checked my water parameters and everything was perfect. i guess i'll have to find another but dang thats a lot of money for a F0 compressiceps, but its worth it!
