Helps! I dunno whats wrong with him. He has been a darker color than normal, and looks like fin rot. And now on his sides his skin looked like he fought freddy krougar! Gashes, but not bloody or showing meat. He is swimming fine, eating, and harassing the others like always, Its been about a week like this. All my prams are great, and the heat is about 82. Well any Ideas? I dont want to have him die.....I love my fishy. (Pics are so blurry, not worth putting up)

I have had them about 4 or 5 months, the tank is a 55, with 6 discuss, the one that is sick is about 3in. The tanks as of now has discus, neon tetras, 7 cories, I am having a hard time getting the loaches out, Its heavily planted and they are like moving jello, been trying forever to get them into a cold tank, to fast for me. Also 2 kribs.

How much & how often are you changing water? Is there any wood etc that he may have scraped himself on? Are the kribs breeding? They can get kinda mean.

I change ~50% almost daily for my juvie discus. I also keep them at 86F. Have you seen his poo, is it normal?

poo seems normal, not all fluffy and white like it gets when they are sick. The Kribs arnt getting it on, I dont think it was them. I do 2 changes a week, some times less (Pregnant and cant lift the buckets) and its about 30%. I would jack the heat up, but havent been able to catch my loaches, and I dont want to cook them. I have rocks, but the scratching is now on both sides. He is the only one to have this. I dunno its confusing me!

I don't understand the gashes or where they could be from. Some of the fins deteriorating would first send me in the direction of water quality. So first advice would be increase the frequency and quantity of water changes. Is there jagged wood in the tank that he could be repeatedly scraping himself with?

Tank shot...?
