I purchased 4 angelfish 2 days ago for my 72 gallon tank:D
While 3 of the angels are acting similar(swimming aroudn toward the back of the tank hiding amongst plant) the other 1 has slowly been swimming around at the surface of the water, is something wrong with my angelfish?

Is he breathing at the surface? Like gulping air? Does he eat? Is he upright ? or kinda wonky? Are his fins clamped? Can you give us a little more detail on the fishes behavior?

his fins look fine and he is breathing very slowly, he has not eaten anything since I bought him and his body now has red blotches on it in some areas. I took him out of the tank because he was just laying on the bottom and put him in a sic tank that I put aquarium salt in. im not sure if hes gonna make it:(

I'm so sorry for your loss. I'd treat the other fish as a preventive if you can figure out what cause the red splotches on the one which just died.

It may be ammonia burns, or excess nitrites. Check water quality.

Haemorrhagic septicemia is caused by one or more of the bacterial class of Aeromonas, Pseudomonas or Vibrio. These bacterial species are common in many apparently "healthy" aquaria as latent infection waiting to happen. It does when fish are in poor and/or stressed condition for some reason, which can include toxic ammonia and/or nitrite levels, overcrowding, moving, rough handling, inadequate/inappropriate diet, temperature fluctuation, wrong pH or pH fluctuation, build up of dissolved organic compounds --- the list is practically endless.

sorry for the loss.
could very well have been stressed before you got it
