I put purigen in the filter in case it was a contaminent

Avoid using Stress Coat with Purigen if you're thinking of using it.
Hope the rest of the Neons pull through.

Aww Rach, I feel for you!!! There is no doubt in my mind that they were wild caught neons. When I saw that you took in both the neons and the otos I thought it was a HUGE risk. I'm not familiar with hatchets to know if they are farm raised or wild caught. Both the otos and neons are extremely sensitive species after going through the catch and moves from place to place. I seriously doubt it's anything wrong with your tank or that you have done. I'm thinking they were exposed to something the wild otos are carriers of that the neons have no immunity to. The 3 different fish have come from three different sources. Big hugs to you, I'd be devastated too!

news is not good. all except 4 or 5 of the ones of the 50 i pulled out to isolate have died. And who knows how many from the 75g. I think they are pretty much goners. I lost 2 hatchets, and no otos. Going to do a large volume water change because of the dead fish. Any other suggestions?
