AC 110 Foam - How long should I keep re-using it?

emphasis on tank water.. tap will kill the bacteria.. but everyone above has it spot on.

I hate cleaning those huge AC 110 sponges. I cut mine in half and it is still hard to clean all the debris out of em.

wow I always cleaned myne with a power washer in the summer and in a sink in the winter and never in the tank water, didnt know it would matter.
