Just saw this. I told my wife about it and she likes the idea. She just wants to know if there is a nice train ride to get there. I think that might count us in.

I'm not sure where Amtrack Stops in Ohio, but can find out. The Zoo is being a little difficult to talk to. Mostly due to my schedule, and their Short staff. The behind the Scenes tour is at least 99% set, the shelterhouse is still up for discussion. The cost is the issue. I can commit and spend some funds but due to local ordinance at my home, there is a limit to the funds I may expend. If we don't get the Zoo Shelterhouse, We have several other options nearby (within a mile)

Unfortunately the closets Amtrack is up in Cleveland or Down in Cincinnati. I remember having to take it to get home from VA one time. That is a 2 hour drive still from Cleveland to Columbus but if you have the time it's not a bad drive and you can see some Sites in Cleveland too.

Anyone know of a decent bar in the area where folks could go that night if anyone was interested? It night be nice to have a spot in mind :)

Bars are A PLENTY in Columbus, ;)

Oh I KNOW that  . I guess a somewhat low key sort of place where anyone who wanted to could meet up at that night, somewhere that a conversation could be held

I know this awesome Bar close to where I live which is like 15-20 mins away from the Zoo but there is lot's of seating, no smoking decent lighting pool tables, darts and a large bar it's called Rose and Thistle OH and it also has plenty of parking spaces
