Well, I have read through everything and here is my input.

I think a Central location is the best idea. Is there a major fish show in North America with vendors and what not? If so, why not shoot for that and just have an AC meet and greet during the show? The AC folks could all stay in the same hotel, or at least adjacent ones, meet back in a different room informally, have a formal meeting in a hotel meeting room one day, etc. Just my two cents. I doubt I could attend at any rate.

American Cichlid Association - meets every July, usually central - this year Fort Worth, Chicago in the past, etc. - just a thought....
