If you all want to meet nothing would beat everyone at my new house on a crisp January morning in Montreal. How's -40 with the wind chill for you all.

Seriously though since most of you are from the states and your dollar is killing ours. Up here would be a good choice. Montreal and the surrounding area in Spring cannot be beat. I would be willing to put some work into setting up some hotels, events (bio-dome, sugaring off etc..) to get things going if you decide to do it.

Long time no hear Scotty. ;) But I have to disagree with you there on the dollar problem,I still think Japan is the go, everyone could hitch a ride with Japanese fishing boat, then all of you could stay in one of the many capsule hotels around, btw just don't bring a suitcase because it wont fit in your room, but aside from that everything is dandy. You could probably do it very cheap :D

Hmmm... What colour is that state? ;) And what do you mean your english is not good? Is it that english is not your first language?
One of my relatives is completely deaf.

He he, I would like to think of the state to be in pink color. :-P
And yeah, english is not my first language. ASL is my primary language so sometimes i get the grammar mixed up and don't word things right :-D I guess i shouldn't have mentioned that cause it doesn't really matter huh?
I was born deaf, not a result of hearing loss but a result of genetics. The only thing I've brought this up was I would like to meet some people who knows sign language. Less problem with communication barrier ;-)

Marlee Matlin.....

Now she can act!...

I'm surprised she hasn't been in more movies...

I don't know sign langauge, but I am fluent in Japanese, not that that is relavent to this conversation, but after learning another langauge I would have to say it would be interesting to learn sign if I could get the chance to use it.

Japan. I own a house here, well... if the truth be told I live here. :coffee:

Sounds like a state south of me...

I've worked with 2 deaf people at different jobs, and interacted with several as customers. I got tips on making it easier to read my lips, and know a few signs--nowhere near fluent.

Vegas would work well for me. :) Pretty sure I can even convince the hubby to come along for that one.

Just a thought, but what about creating a few different locations for a meet? Realistically, most people from the west coast aren't going to fly out to the east coast, and same with the folks over in the east. I would imagine people from North Dakota aren't going to go to Mississippi either...

So why not set up a few different locations. Folks who are from the south should pick a central location when they get a feel for where everyone lives, same with east coast people and west coast people. It might not be ideal, because true - you would like to meet the most people possible. But it is most realistic. :D
