Ace25's 75G Build Thread

The Potters I had in QT tank at the LFS for 30 days (Helps to work there) then moved him in and he has been in my tank for 2 weeks now. I use primarily Rod's food and it has been great but there is always a chance with getting a bad batch. Sorry to hear about your loss.. it took me years after my first one died before I could get enough courage to try another.

2 new pics.. front view and view from the left side.

I like the goby and the tank!

Okay I am absolutely drooling over your tank. Love it!

WOW Ace, great job! I'm soooo jealous & drooling! One of these days!

For now, I will just have to copy your fish selection. It's great to see so many gobies living together peacefully.

:grinyes: Believe me.. I always have the glass cleaner and towels nearby for when I get stuck staring.. and drooling over my tank as well. :drool::drool: I am very pleased with how it turned out.. and when you design and build it all yourself, it adds even more to the personal pride factor. ;) I am still in awe on how well all my fish get along.. no one even chases anyone else in the tank... 100% peaceful at this point (I know that can change in a minute when fish mature into adulthood). Plus they are all very active, all swim out in the open among each other, all look 100% healthy and all eat like little pigs. I feed very small portions about 4-5 times a day and the food is always gone in less than 30 seconds.

It has taken 6 years of reef experience, and 6 months of "pre-planning" to get the tank setup how I wanted it. Then 3 solid weeks of work, 8 hours a day 7 days a week preparing the tank, stand, canopy.. but now I am finally done with all the major stuff.. all that is left is adding a chiller, litre meter (for ATO and Kalk), ozone generator, and a network enabled AquaController so I can control my tank from anywhere I have internet access. For now I can do without those things by doing it manually (2 Part dosing for CA+Alk, ice bottles for cooling on hot days, and a few drops of Hydrogen Peroxide to raise the ORP in the tank), but ideally I want the tank setup so all I have to do is the basics.. filter sock changes, skimmer cleaning, and weekly water changes.

:bowing::clap:

truly awesome. I love the size too, it's perfect. I love big tanks, but having my 135 now, I get overwhelmed with the maintenance a little. I need more automated stuff. Specially now that I'm pregnant again. :)

Ace, BEAUTIFUL WORK!! Kudos to you.

In your closed loop, is 100% of the return coming from the floating reef frame?
