Pods from a SW setup won't survive in a freshwater setup. Most fish will likely consume all the FW pods you may have, particularly if you don't make an effort to provide hidey holes for the pods to reproduce.
However--crushed coral from a SW setup? Any reason why? It will raise the pH of the tank, and if was actually in use in a SW tank, you will have to rinse the heck out of it to remove the salts. Way not my first choice.
