Acquiring otocinclus.

No no, I know how little they are at full size, but these guys are tiny in a waistline. Seriously, I think PetSmart didn't know how to feed them.

Next time you see them, you should ninja feed them some sinking algae wafers, lol.

I was gonna say liveaquaria lists them in stock, I'm probably going to have to remove my GAE's and replace them with around 5-6 Octo's.

LiveAquaria was also selling them at $2.99 a pop. I got four for $1.79/fish at PetSmart; even though they were emaciated, they are a heck of a lot hardier than anyone ever gives them credit for. All four are still kicking and beating up any food I stick in the tank.

Yeah plus that $35 shipping, liveaquaria.com is good for large orders but hard to justify ordering for less than $20 worth of fish.

me and my boyfriend took home 9 otos from petco. they were trying to just get them to eat flake food. sunken bellies gallore. however, only one died. the remaining 8 got added in with the one we already had. now they all have FAT bellies. have you tried looking at global aquatics in ontario or ocean blue in anaheim?

They're looking much better now, but it will be a short while before their bellies are as fat as they need to be.

****, checked the new Petsmart they opened up here as well as one of our other local fish stores and no luck. Still have PetCo and 33 Aquarium to check out though, hopefully they'll have one as my GAE's are getting on mine (and my gourami's) last nerves.

You know what I keep hearing?
"They're out of season."
I didn't know aquarium fish had seasons.
