Acrylic for aquarium covers?

I've used regular plexiglass over aquariums and it warps/bows. Anyone know of a sheet material that won't bow? Polycarbonate? Acrylite, Lexan...man there are a lot of names and suffixes too!

The 92 Corner tank has a glass top (which is bulkier than he!!) and the rear corner has a black (abs I think) plastic piece to cut out for filter lines etc... Originally wanted to just replace this little corner piece (14" triangle) but if I can, I'd like to replace the entire top with something lighter.

The Lexan likely wouldn't. It is advertised to be able to stop people from breaking in, so I'd doubt it bows much. They sell it at Home Depot in all sizes. Maybe something a tad thicker would also be better for you.

Lexan would probably be a good choice, I replaced my houses front screen door glass with lexan when it broke. Good stuff, and just to test the little in store advertisement, I took a left over piece and shot it, and it stopped a .22 bullet. It was inbedded in the piece and had the white warping effect around it, but it actually did stop it, so I imagine it would make a decent cover. Glad you brought it up, I could use a better cover myself.
