I tried to make a drip pan for you W/D and well didn't do a good job. I couldn't find any info on how to glue Acrylic together. Does anyone know how to do is and where to get the supplies. My LHWS didn't have any info on putting the pices together, so I used good-ol aquarium silicone caulking...well that broke free and water drained everywhere. Sloppy Mess.

Any Ideas?

Thanks in advance

To glue acrylic, you will need an acrylic cement such as Weld-On, which actually welds the acrylic pieces together. Most plastic supply shops will carry it.

Gluing Acrylic

Pick up some acetone in at the hardware store (or if you have nail polish remover made from ethyl acetate). Place the two pieces of acrylic together, and using a eyedropper or pipet (if you have one) carefully "weld" the 2 pieces by moving the eyedropper slowly along the edge while slowly dispensing the acetone. You should be able to see the acetone creep between the 2 pieces. Make sure to do both sides. This makes an excellent and durable seal.

If you have access to a chem lab (luckily I run one), methylene chloride works great too.

another version of dolfans' method is to get a glass jar, put in some small (<quarter size) and add some acetone to it, cover, and let sit for 24hrs, stirring occasionally. Use this to glue your pieces together. It's basically liq. acrylic that hardens into acrylic. Oh, and in all cases I think you can replace acetone w/ metheyl ethyl ketone (MEK).
