I just bought a used acrylic tank it was very dirty after a few hours of cleaning i found some scratches not bad just annoying. is there any way to buff them out or do i just deal with it ?

I dont know if they have this in your area, but there is a store called Taps Plastics where i Live. I just bought a couple of pads of sanding paper(400,1000, 2500, 5000, 7500, 12,000 Grit), sanded it all down very evenly(even the unscrathed parts) and used a polishing compouned from NOVA thay they sold. ctystal clear and it took out scratched up to .064" deep. lots of work though, see if water works first
what about that stuff they show on tv... you put it on your glasses to get the scratches out, does that work? Im not sure if anyone has used it.
