Acrylic Tanks

Are they better or a waste of extra $$.?

I've seen a few stores sell them, but with ridiculous costs. Yet, they are so nice and some of the designs they have are quite beautiful.

Does anyone have regular low cost acrylic tanks? If so where did you get them?

i say there worth the money, 17x stronger than glass, shatter-proof, clearer, silicone free, easy to drill if you want a drilled overflow.

yeah thats the bad thing about acrylic, easily scratched

only if u have misbehaved kids or if ur clumsy. when filled u dont really see them unless someone gouged ur tank. i choose acrylic because i live in California
