I was thinking it might be Heterodon nasicus but then realized that all Heterodons have fatter tails then then the snake up posted. Its the only snake I know by memory that flatens its neck like a cobra. Also yours in smaller bodied then a Heterodon so I dont know. Remember seeing a snake who does that on a nature program but that was years ago. Any possible hints?
