Bitis Gabonica aka Gaboon Viper

Beautiful But Very Dangerous Snake. If I Could I Would Own One.

What is very scary is a buddy of mine does own one. He has a Monocle cobra, a few copperheads, a couple of variety of rattlers, and a few other vipers as well.

I know to many friends who are trained professionals that do keep hots. I tell them not for me, unless i ever decide to try Gila Monsters, that is about it for me.

Here is one of his copperheads from my last visit over at his house.

Trickster I love Gaboons also due to there docile nature there way less likely to bite. Most bites in the wild occur when there accidently stepped on. There was a video tape of some kids playing with what the parents though was a cord well when they looked closer they freaked. It was a gaboon viper and it was his tail they were tugging at but the snake did nothing. Oh and yes the snake was alive.

Subrosa your up.
