Yesterday, I traded my common pleco for a clown pleco. I just love this little guy! :D

He's really pretty, but besides that, he's really active! Much more so than my common pleco. He's all over the tank, going here and there, cleaning things in the tank and munching on the algae wafer I gave him. He's on the tank wall, then on the driftwood, then sitting on a leaf (he's tiny, maybe an inch long).

Are clown plecos normally this active?

Compared with a common, yes. He'll likely slow down a bit as he ages--my bristlenose were the same way, initially, but now are more mellow (unless I throw in some zuccini).

I have a Rhino pl*co which I never see unless I look up under the rocks in the morning before I turn on the lights, and the rare occaision I see him darting around between his favorite spots while I am sitting here at the computer.
