Missing In Action
Hi guys :) its me and another one of my killer newbie questions. ok i have finaly finished the setup and have added the salt. i have my test kits ready to go. when should i start testing??

Depends on the ammonia source. Straight ammonia--immediately, so you know how much ammonia you're adding. Shrimp--wait a day or two.

But what's the source of the ammonia? Is the rock uncured? If so, you can start testing after the rock goes in.

hmmm. ok, i made a mistake i should have waited for the LR to come :thud: . i will have the LR in about 9 hours. hope that in time to catch that bacteria i chucked in there.

The l.r. has the bacteria already I wouldn't bother to add anything else. You might want to keep an eye on your ammonia level to if there isn't enough stuff on your l.r. to rot you may not have enough stress on the tank to cycle.
