I have a 55g tank with a 6-7" JD and a 8-9" pleco. It's been up and running for almost 2 years. I've been wanting to add something to the tank, but not sure what would be best. I'd have to say that the temperment of my JD is very timid, it is spooked easily, and hides 75% of the time. I do have plans to put all my 3 thanks into one big (150G+) but that won't be for a year atleast. so as far as other fish go, i've maybe thought about a convict, but don't really want a fish that might just sit there like the JD. Maybe some dither fish, like silver dollars, but i'm not sure if in a year they might get too big?

any input is welcome!

Thanks

Try silver dollars. IF your going to get a 150 Gallon or larger the year to grow out in the 55 will be ok. If not how about another JD? Ever thyink of breeding them? Convicts are also a nice common cichlids, FM, green terror.
