Adding a School to an Existing School?

So, I have a school of 7 zebra danios, and a school of 7 cory cats.
Can I add a larger school of say a dozen Zebra Danios that will most likely be smaller than the existing school?
Same question goes with the cory cats (either same 'type' or different 'type')?

I just want to make sure they won't be fighting all the time since some have been in the tank around a month already.

75g tank by the way. Still trying to figure out some more stocking idea's after the horrible experience with the cardinal tetra's. :(
I love the cory's and zebra's, but also want some COLOR in there.
 
If you are concerned about territory issues then you can change the decorations around a bit...this way the existing inhabitants have to stake out "new" territory right along with the new guys.

I agree with the above but it would only be necessary for the Danios not the Cory's. As for other fish what are you looking for, more schooling fish, a couple of larger fish, also are there any other fish in with the Danios and Cory's. A little more info on what you would like to achieve with this tank.

Thanks, I had some other stocking threads a while back-
Basically a 75g community tank. May do some live plants, ferns or moss type easy stuff someday.

7 zebra danios
7 cory cats
1 8-10" Pleco

I like the active schooling fish, but also want a 'showpiece' fish or two.
The zebras and cory's are awesome. Very active (cory's mostly only during/after feeding). We want some color in the tank though.

As always, I am open to any stocking suggestions since I can never make up my mind, lol.
 
They should be fine. No need to rearrange anything as schooling fish base superiority on a hierarchy rather than territories. With the danios there may be some initial nipping or chasing but nothing major. It'll work itself out.
 
I was hoping the two schools would join into a larger one as they equal out in size, does that happen?
 
They will join to make a large school. there is nothing like large schools of small fish in big tanks. as soon as spring hits I will be ordering 50 neons to go in my 150
 
Heck, I would take it up to 18 of the danios.
 
Are you saying 18 MORE danios? I wish I could find ones that have other colors. I have seen pictures of blue-ish ones..
