WHITBY, ONTARIO CANADA!
hey guys

Is it ok if i add another angel to my aquarium??

they are cichlids so is it ok if there is just 2 in the aquarium, or does there have to be more of them because of aggression?

thanks :)

No. You shouldn't have the angel in there in the first place. They WILL EAT neons.

ok i am srry, but seriously i do not need ya to tell me that, my neons are large and i have been watching my angel, and if ya are not going to answer my question i would ask you to please not post on this thred

thanks a bunch :)

I answered it, and I said no. Even if your angel is nice to the tetras now... still, you can't control your fish... a fish may seem good one second and horrible the next. Even if that angel is never going to eat neons, there's a very good chance that the next angel will. It's already risky. If you don't want to listen and be stubborn, get another one and kill off your neons. But I wouldn't if I were you. And I had already answered it.

You're lucky I'm in a good mood. I get ticked off easily, ask ANYBODY.

Corykid she wasn't yelling at you, she answered your question. :)

You could add another angel if you wanted but you could lose your neons or I should say WILL lose them eventually. The angel you have may not be eating them now because he is too small (you never mentioned how big he is so I'm assuming it's a smaller angel simply because the neons are still alive :) )

My 280 has full grown angels in it and when they were smaller I USE to have a large school of danios in there with them (about 30 or 40) and now that my angels are all grown up, all I have are angels

I didn't ask any question... Ghost Knife hates me! Oh sorry...

I just mean DON'T GET ANY MORE ANGELS and either take out the angel or tetras now.

And apparently I did need to tell you that, Cory. =) And I don't mean that to make u mad.

i know she was not yelling at me, its just people say that all the time (i do know alittle about fish), and in the if they get eatin they get eatin, i take the rest out of the tank and all is forgotten

but i would like to know if my angels may possibly show aggression towards each other because around here an angel is 22 bucks (and thats the price on boxing day) and the last thing i want is to lose a beautiful 22 dollar angel lol

but ya he is rather large there are pics of him in my sig :)

Do you know the sex of your current angel?

Angels that have lived alone for quite sometime can sometimes show aggression to newer angel tankmates. Usually adding the opposite sex will raise your chances of them getting along IME.

lol well i just got it on friday and i found out i had 25 bucks of customer points (ya after spending over **** 1000 bucks) anyway i was gunna go back wensday but then thought about this problem so i wanted to ask

aaaa i will do some research about sexing angels and will get back to ya on the sex

AN ANSWER!!!!!! ----> Add two, so that you have an odd number. If one picks on the other than it will be a dog eat dog situation. If there are two then it will either end up as rock/paper/scissors with your angels, or one angel will trump the two others. Either is permisable, the latter because the nagging is devided up between two fish. So one can run and heal while the other is being chased around, rather than one just being mutilated to death. ALWAYS an odd number of angels.
