right now in my 33 gal i have 29 pounds of Live rock. If i decided to add the extra 4 pounds would this kill my invertsShould i add more or is 29 pounds close enough, i know generally 1-1.5 lbs per gal but could i get away with less? I dont want the tank to go through another major cycle.

If you add any more live rock, only do it one piece at a time now that you have the tank up and running.

Don't forget though if you start adding corals and things like that, most of them will come attatched to live rock. So you'll probably add the extra 4 pound that way.

As loltuskid said, it is okay to add more LR now, but do it slowly. You don't want die off from a huge amount of rock causing a spike in ammonia or any other params. The general rule of thumb for adding anything (be it fish, inverts, LR or sand) to an established tank is to do it really slowly over a period of time.

As far as the amount of rock goes, it is recommended to have ~1-1.5 lbs / gal. However, depending what kind of other forms of filtration you have (if any) you could get by with a little less than that ratio.

Cheers!

Thanks for the info, i guess 4 pounds is not that much anyways. i will try to get a peice with corals or mushrooms on it.
