Hello,

I would like to add a few (maybe 3 or 4) MTS into my 55g.

Do they breed like crazy?

And what are the benefits of having them in the aquarium?

Thanks for the help everyone :)

they stir up the substrate, preventing poisonous gas build ups from rotting material that harms fish, they only breeds like crazy if OVERFED, mine breeds very slow:crazy:

Yeah i just dont want them to breed out of control, but i would like a few to have in my tank. They seem pretty cool :)

thanks for the advice!

start with 3-4 and you will end up with about 500:)

I don't see mine most of the time because they are burrowed under the sand during most of the day, so they aren't really as much of a pest as a lot of people say.

I agree. They're nocturnal by nature and will show up only at night. I collected over 30 for my assassin snails. The rest I can't catch as they quickly burrow underground. I needed the light to see properly.:perv:
