ADF Feeding

Hey guys! I picked up a couple of African Dwarf Frogs the other day to house with my betta. I was told they just eat whatever you're feeding your other fish. Right now I'm feeding BettaMin Betta flakes, and freeze dried bloodworms. I have increased quantities to make sure they have plenty. Should I be feeding something else to supplement them or is this enough?
 
the staple for adfs are blodworms

live is best for them and they should be fed 2 or 3 times a week

i feed mine (which are in with my betta) frozen bloodworm 3 times per week with my water changes...on the other days the betta is fed betta pellets

i mix the piece of frozen blodworm cube in the bucket of water before adding, tat way the bloodworms are distributed right through the tank and they are all fed....starvation is a common cause of death for these guys as they are so blind they sniff out the food rather than see it

Just make sure they are true dwarfs and not african clawed frogs, or your betta will be history. I just always have to clarify, you'd be absolutely amazed how many people buy frogs thinking that they are dwarfs because of their size, but end up with huge clawed frogs that will eat anything that moves and will remotely fit into their mouths! A couple of my clawed were gotten from someone who bought them at Walmart marked as dwarfs, but knowing that albinos are ALWAYS clawed, I let them know that their precious fish would soon be history unless the frogs were separated by themselves. I realize most people know the differences, but I just always want to make sure so people are aware of what will happen if they would turn out to be acf's.
 
If they're in a tank with other fish, to make sure they get to the food in time, use a turkey baster to deliver the worms right in front of them.
 
If they'll eat them, ACF pellets aren't a bad waay to go. They sink (Xenopus Express sells both floaters & sinkers by the pound, pretty cheap), so you don't have to worry as much about fish competition, just drop right in front of 'em. If they won't eat them, they'll eat the juvie snails that eat them instead:devil: ...
 
I agree, good to mix in some frozen bloodworms or brine shrimp. I used to target feed with a syringe to ensure they got their share before the fish would get to it.
 
I have had adf's for years. The best food possible is live black worms.
They are kept at very few pet stores. I think it is best to buy them from www.blkworms.com You can buy a half a pound and separate the worms into different worm containers. They also sell these special containers. If you want to know more about black worms please email me. Using a syringe and feeding frozen blood worms is also possible. If you want to make sure your adf's are eating, then feed them each with a pair of blunt tweezers. They will very much appreciate that!
 
all suggestions here are great. I dont think flakes will suffice, so make sure to feed frozen bloodworms atleast 3x a week.

Also, i've fed them smaller earth worms that i've dug up.
