One of my friends received one of those tiny 1/2 gallon cubes with 2 ADFs in it as a present and had no interest in keeping them so I took them from her and set them up in a 5 gallon tank. The smaller, sickly one didn't make it, but the larger one is still happily swimming around.

I really didn't have any plans to keep them long-term, and now I have an agreement to get rid of my 3 small tanks to set up a new big one. :) And hopefully he/she (I'm leaning towards she judging by how much bigger she was than the other ADF) will be able to have a home with some friends!

She is healthy, eating well, and pretty cute! I work in the Tinton Falls area and sometimes go down to Manahawkin, so if you are interested and located around those areas we can work something out. I'm willing to drive up to 30 min to make sure she gets a good home. I don't have a picture right now, but if anyone would like one I will take it!

holy crap! I was searching around for an ADF for the last couple weeks!

I have a 5 Gal heavily planted tank that is perfect. I have a couple guppies and RCS so I'm hoping she's a real dwarf.
How big is she? Been wanting a frog for a long time!

....and would you happen to be able to stop by NYC...? Once in NYC, I can pretty much pick up anywhere with a public transportation... not having a driver license kinda sucks :(

She is a ADF...webbed feet and everything. She looks identical to the ones in this picture. Actually I will be in NYC tomorrow night for a concert so maybe we can work something out? I'm taking the train into Penn Station and the concert is at the Bowery Ballroom so I will be around those areas.

Pending her size (since I'm a little concerned abt my RCS), that is perfect. I work in Times Square so it'd be very easy for me to pick up in Penn. Around what time would you come in? Maybe we can meet at the entrance of Borders on 34th and 7th if you are familiar with the area. if not you can tell me to come to you. I can PM you my phone # so you can give me a call when you are closeby.

Do you have an estimate for her size though?

Thanks!

The body is a little over an inch long, maybe 2-2.5 inches long with her legs stretched out. My only concern would be making sure she got fed with guppies in the tank...its sometimes difficult to get her to find the food when she is by herself! Although I think I may have trained her to come to the top of the tank when I tap on it....unless last night was just a fluke. :) I'm not sure is she would eat your shrimp...she does kinda bite at anything in front of her face. I did a search and saw that there is a small chance she could eat a fry or 2.

I should be at Penn at 7:41pm according to the train schedule. I'm not very familiar with the area since I usually just go right from the train to a cab to the concert. :) But if it is close I'm sure I could figure it out!

OK, sounds good. I have frozen bloodworms that are too big to fit into my guppies and tetras mouths. I usually overfeed the bloodworms so there're some left for my shrimps so i'm sure she'd get her food. Thanks!

pls let me know if you've received my PM w/ my phone number. I thought i sent but i don't see it in my Sent Item box

hi. the frog seems to be doing very well in my tank. I hand fed her 2 bloodworms and she quickly made them disappear. she seems to be very used to human contact as well.

i hope you enjoyed the show. again i apologize for my misunderstanding. you're the nicest person. very cute, too.

thanks!

This thread can be closed since the frog is happy in her new home! I'm glad to hear she is doing well. I was worried about the water being cold (I had the bag in my shirt the whole train ride!) and dirty since she decided that was the perfect time to go to the bathroom. :headshake2:

Don't worry about it...it actually worked out well because the show started later than I thought it would. And thanks for the compliments! :) You should post pictures of your tank in the photo section...I'm sure she is loving the plants.
