honestly i didnt think it was so horrible its not like i was going to euthanize like i would a fish by frezzing him or suficating him. shooting him in the head is about the same as somone putting fish a in a bag and smaking it against something hard. if you really think about it it was quick and painless, faster than the blink of an eye. im just going to assume most of you found this so horrible since i shot him with a gun, and since it was a gun and most people dont really have a gun tolorance it automaticly makes it wrong and messed up. its not like i blew his head apart in to a gooy mess it just crushed his head (in my veiw it no different than the guy who killed his pacu by droping a cinder block on his head which crushed the fished head). i will admit there was probably another way to doaway with him but i wasnt really thinking so thats my fault. also this was not done out of revenge, i was just dealing with an agressive animal in my tank would any of you keep something in your tak that was slowly eatting the other occupants no you would take it out or get rid of it. so i got rid of him i couldnt out him in another tank he would of got eatin and my lfs wont take him since there have way to many adf as it is so i did what i could.
 
I replied in shock because, like someone in the other thread stated, the tone of your story was vengeful. You seemed to be out to make the ADF hurt the way he hurt your feelings by messing up the tank and picking on the other fish.

If you'd just said "I knew I had to get rid of him and I put him down", everyone would have been on your side.

But you basically said, "and it was *&%@ing fun too! Take that frog!"

I guess I was reading into it too much.
 
First, airsoft is not a gun, it's a toy.
Second, I don't have a problem with you using airsoft to kill him, as long as it was quick.
 
I have a problem with you seeming to want to rile everyone up by constantly bringing this story up. As was said before tone is everything and the fun you seemed to take from that story was not good. I suspect this thread will be locked soon before it turns into a bashfest. Stay away from fish killing stories in the future.
 
personally i think shooting is way better then the freezing. The animal felt no pain at all. As long as you didnt do it for laughs, like some off my retarded friends who take them and stick firecrackers up their butts....poor frogs.... :sad:
 
Could the frog have been an African clawed frog, as opposed to the dwarf varieties? I never had a problem with ADF's being aggressive, but clawed frogs are quite the opposite. They will eat anything that will fit in their mouths and are destructive. They also get larger. Most people confuse them with the dwarf frogs when they are younger. but if your's didn't get very big, then it's not a clawed frog.
