Just baught a red severum that was very badly miss treated just wondering if he should color up and what type he may be. He is a little under 4 inches and has blood red in his eyes one has a black stripe in it. IMG_20161230_201236.jpg IMG_20161230_200735.jpg

Got me, he looks like the color is washed out. What size tank you got the little beast in?

His eyes are the coolest thing and after the story I heard about him and his now dead arrawanna tank mate that were left in a bucket outside the pet store over night I had to give him a good loving home.

He should color up nicely after some time in a good home. I love severums. I keep a green sev with my oscar. The sev is the tougher fish for sure. Mine is 6" and a total porkchop.

I really like him plus he is bigger then anything in the tank so I have faith he will color up nicely being the top of the pecking order

Thanks. The sev changes color often. In the vid clip above he was dark, which is common for this guy/gal when he's feeling bossy.
