Adventures in Fishkeeping

Cool Blue hope all works out i will be going to Eddie's tomorrow to pick up some fish hopefully, but the weather here for the last 3 weeks has been horrible, i am waiting to place a order through a fish outfit in SC just waiting for the snow to clear up.

Most of my Tangs come from Eddie his prices are great i am just lucky to live 30 minutes away from him..
 
Having a good place to get some nice Tangs from is hard to find here the other 30 plus pet shops in our Metro deal with bread and butter Tangs..
 
The black on the fish really have nothing to do with what he does. It is usually stress related, and lets face it, being put in a bag, boxed and shipped for more than 24 hours would stress you as well.

Um, the black wasnt stress related as they have now grown quite a bit, and its still there. Its less noticeable, but its there.

How does the black being there not have anything to do with what he does? He sells fish. GOOD quality fish. If I am gonna spend 75 bucks to have something shipped to me, I want the best quality I can get. So, to throw in poorly marked up fish isnt the best business sense to me. Not to mention him lying and bsing his way around our transaction...If the quality is better, I would def order again. Thats reason enough to be selective with what you ship.
 
i havent gone to daves in forever. i need to make a trip in there to check his stock....
 
Don't do business with him then Justin as for me when i go over to see the fish i want i see quality fish for sell i would recommend him anytime..
 
Pit, thats why I have ordered elsewhere...Like I have said, I dont doubt he has amazing fish. You are at an advantage because u can pick ur own directly from the shop. While when shipping is involved we are at his mercy. U mean to tell me that no ugly fish show up at his door? Thats impossible. I am just saying that I got some of the ones that werent the best and if I was shipping, I would try to cherry pick because if u are dedicated enough to buy online, then u prob are a well versed consumer wanting the best. Shipping the best will ensure repeat customers. Thats all...
 
Cool deal Justin yeah i bet he does get some ugly ones in LOL at times sorry they were passed on to you.. But all in all i would be like you as well but i get really ugly when it comes to stuff like that.. I just ordered some Tetracanthus today from SC hope they come in great paid 93 bucks for 2 5" fish.. next day shipping.. Take care my friend..

Turned out great i placed a new thread on them.. N. Tetracanthus, they were excellent on communication and quality and shipping all in all a great shipping experience i would highly recommend them shipping is about normal to fair..
