Well, I found a local woman who has started her own business. We've been friends for a bit and members of the Austin Reef Club. Many other have ordered from her over the last 6 months.

She makes an order once a week (maybe every other week) and then we can pick up our fish when she picks them up from the airport or after a few days in her hospital tanks.

So we order a pair of clowns and a 6-line wrasse. Her supplier didn't have any of the gobies we wanted.

So we get a message this morning, the fish will be in at 10A. Then, about 9A, we get a message, they missed the plane at LAX and will be in at 6P.

Turns out the fish (and other stuff, it was over a thousand dollar order) WERE LEFT ON THE SHIPPING DOCK (OUTSIDE) OVER NIGHT BY THE SHIPPER!!

This nice woman had ordered herself a $200 clam and had at least one hippo tang in the order.

She was very, very hot.

I'll post more when we find out if the fish are OK and even salvageable. I don't what the temp was in LA last night, but it's still not good.

That's horrible. I just got my 1st online/shipped fish today. I live in North Florida nad the low this morning was in the 20's and the high was in the 40's. I was worried all day long that my fish (Potters Angel) was going to be frozen. Fortunately Divers Den did an excellent job and packed her so well. The bag water was a balmy 76.5 degrees when I received her!

I hope the rest of the fish make it through ok.

Good luck with the fish.

This happens when the lfs in my area orders fish from one vendor out west. Instead of coming to Charleston , WV they get sent to Charleston, SC. So when they get an alert that they are in Charlotte they have to notify the airports that they are flying them to the wrong location. Fortunately most of the stuff lives.
