My current DIY CO2 setup spits out CO2 vigorously for about 3 days, then seems to trail off rapidly.

My Ambient temp is about 68F.

I use

1 litre of water

1 tbsp sugar

1 tsp bakers yeast

pinch of Sodium Bicarbonate.

What shoud I increase / decrease to get a more substantial mix that will last a full week?

did I read that right?? 1 tbl spoonof sugar??

just a wild guess but there is where your problem is..

I mix mine in a 1-2 quart bottle..with 1-1.5 cups of sugar to 1/4 tsp yeast use tepid water (about 104 degrees)

the yeast needs sugar to create the CO2

Like Star_rider said. Up your sugar to at least a cup and a half.

Could probably back off on the yeast a bit there too. I use only 1/4 tbsp yeast, 1/4 tbsp baking soda and 2 cups sugar in a 2-liter setup. Lasts for about 2 weeks for me.
