Advice on running carbon

I have a 90 gallon tank. I have 2 TLF 150's one running bio pellets and one running GFO. My deluxe BRS reactor has carbon in it. Media tumbles better in the TLF and the flow over time is much better. The BRS over time slows to a trickle. This happens in about a week or two of operation.. I have tried with and without the sponges, and with and without the clear insert that holds the media. I bought the pump with the reactor.

What size tank, and which TLF and BRS do you have? I was leaning toward the deluxe or dual BRS but may change my mind now. Running carbon and or gfo?

Sounds like TLF is the way to go then, which pumps are you using the MJ's that are usually offered in the package deals?

Yes, I use the MJ's. They work great.
