Aeration with canister filter?

So should I plug the canister output into the RUGF tube(s) or use a powerhead(s) to do that? Would the canister be too powerful for the RUGF?

I think more important than adding a second canister filter would be cleaning/maintaining the one you have religiously, filling it with the right materials and keep up with water changes. If you really want to keep the tank clean with a fish like an oscar make sure you are cleaning the gravel along with those water changes.

Just an add on. If you go with a RUGF (which I use and like a lot) you'd either want to split the output from the canister so you have water flow heading down into both sides OR use two powerheads, other wise you could end up with some dead spots, especially in a larger tank like a 75g.

Any reccomendations on powerheads that can be used for RUGF? I probably need around 350 gallons per hour, right?
