Mine is more than happy with the ph being at 8.0. As long as you aclimatise him very slowly over about an hour and have good buffering in your tank to avoid ph fluctuations it would be fine

I would say a group of shellies (3 ish) and either a pair of calvus or a pair of julies...I wouldnt keep mbuna in a 29 but maube that is just me

and with shellies...no pictus
