So can damsels be "acclimated" to hard/high TDS water. Does that mean it is good for them? Which do you prefer, to keep your fish healthy or kill them whether quickly or slowly?

Never said I agree with what I did. It's not like they're still in freshwater, and besides all the arguing about weather they're freshwater or brackish it gets confusing. Figure8's are born freshwater and eventually venture out to brackish waters IN THE WILD, which is why people argue this topic. Things change in captivity. My friend kept his in freshwater and his figure8 is almost full grown and we got them at the same time.

Its like argueing if salmon are freshwater or saltwater... they are both! Just depends on what stage they are in thier lifecycle.
