:help: I'm new to aquariums and fish . . .

I bought 2 ADF yesterday and they are still hiding in the cave at the bottom. As far as I know, they haven't been to the top to breathe or out of the cave to eat. I'm a little worried.

Will they get more active when they get used to their new home? Also, how long can they stay on the bottom and not come up for air?

Thanks!

I'm not very familiar about adf's, but it can take fish up to a week to get used to their new homes, and might not eat in that period... oooor, there could be something wrong with the frogs/tank... what size is the tank and what are the water parameters?

Ps: Welcome to the forums! Hope you have a great time!

ADFs are naturally nocturnal. don't expect to see them much until they are settled in.

knowing if your tanks is cycled or not, tanks zie, and current stock could help too.

Me again. Tank is 4 days old. pH is 7, no ammonia. Haven't tested for anything else, but I have a master test kit.

Tank is an Eclipse with a bio wheel

well.....

I just want to say that your tank is somewhat overstocked, and you should give your ADfs back to the store. they are not hardy enough to survive a cycle and might die if you keep them in there. I wloud also return the danios sicne they need more room and large groups, both which you cannot provide for them in your tank. also, your tank will cycle faster and easier if you DO NOT add anything to the tank while it is cycling.
