Cool deal well i hope everything works out and really sometimes fish just die they can be really fragile..

In the end, sometimes fish just die. Did you add tank water into the bagged fish over time? Was it a big box fish store? Mine went from who knows what the store kept them in, to near neutral water. Added cichlid sand and rocks, 1hr later the ph was at 7. They were all fine, no issues at all.

My planted tank sees 1.0 pH variation daily from CO2 injection with no ill effects. More likely temperature or water hardness difference (osmotic shock)

no matter where you get a fish from, either store or other hobbyist, you should test the water that the fish came from. If you can't get a little cup full (store employees usually look at you like your crazy), just test out of the bag.
