I have him in a the 37g tank and he was ok in a 10g with Harlequin Rasboras, Guppies, and Snails and was also ok in the 37g tank with Kuhli Loaches, Plecos, and Black Neon Tetras. But since I've introduced a German Blue Ram to the tank, he's began chasing him whenever he sees him. He also gets close to the Angelfish, but the Angel just slowly drifts back and inch and the Gourami leaves him alone.

I plan on adding another GBR, will this discourage the Gourami from chasing them? Or will I have to take him out?

How would a Betta do in the 37g tank with the Rams and Angelfish? I'm thinking of switching the Betta from the 10g tank with the Dwarf Gourami. He was ok in there before with 2 Guppies and 6 Harlies. Even the RCS survived in there by staying in the Java Moss.

Ideas?

it could be because of similar colors and sizes that the dwarf gourami is going after the ram.

That's what I figured too. Would another ram discourage him, or provoke him even more?

I have a pair of GBRs in my 37, and my dwarf gourami leaves them alone entirely, I added the gourami last though, which may have something to do with it.

Another person with a 37g tank? What's your stock like?

5 neons (plan to add more), pair of GBRs, dwarf gourami, 3 aneus (sp?) corys, 2 golden dream killifish, 2 mickey mouse platies, and thats it for now. Is yours a 37 column as well? I need some ideas for maybe 1 or 2 more interesting fish.

By column do you mean Tall? Mines is super tall, essentially a stretched out 20g long.

I have:

Angelfish
Dwarf Gourami
GBR (Will make it a pair soon)
9 Black Neon Tetras
7 Kuhli Loaches
Clown Pleco
Calico Bristlenose Pleco

Black Neons aren't really doing it for me, I'm looking to switch them out with something. Maybe my Harlequin Rasboras (6). I also want to add a top layer fish like Hatchetfish and be done.

Yeah my tank is 24 inches tall by 20 wide by 18 deep. I was thinking about a few hatchets myself, but the killifish are doing well as a top layer fish. Definitely looking into the calico or albino bristlenose as soon as my tank starts growing some algae.

My blue gourami went after my dwarf gourami when I first introduced him to my 75 gallon tank, so I removed the blue gourami and placed him in a plastic container for 5 minutes before returning him to the tank. Now both gouramis get along just fine.
