I just got a male Gold Gourami to befriend my female. Seems my nice little female isn't so nice and has become aggressive towards the new male. Any tips on what I could do to help this situation?

These are territorial fish, and it's likely the female is defending her territory against the new male - in her eyes, he's an intruder.
Sometimes moving the decor around helps, but be prepared to remove the new fish if needed.

I was guessing that was what was happening. I watched her check out the male with her "feelers" and then chase him all over so I haved moved some of the plants.

I moved a few plants and it only took about 5 mins for her to go back to her aggressive ways. I am going to do a water change in the morning and move more decorations to see if that will help or else I might just have to keep only the one gourami.

I made a newbie mistake and filled my tank with gouramis, for the most part they're all cool with each other, but my biggest one (a medium sized platinum), has begun getting a little uppity with his tank mates. I went out tonight and bought a bunch more plants so they have places they can go to stay away from him, its too soon to really know if its effective, but they seem to like having a lot more plant cover

My 3 spot Gourami always chases my Honey Gouramis. I was forced to have the honey's in a separate tank. Gouramis are pretty fish but the compatability is the biggest problem in having them.

To update on my gouramis. It seems turning off the lights and giving them a night together has helped because they are acting alot better today.
