Aggressive Angels

I have a pair of Angels (about two years old) that have become very agressive towards everything else in the tank. I recently added a couple of plecos to take care of algea, and I have seen the angels ramming into them.

Is there somethine I can do to reduce their aggression, or should I replace them with a more docil fish.

Angels are territorial. If you've recently added the plecos, it's likely the angels view them as intruders. If you give the plecos a place to hide (PVC pipe, driftwood, rocks etc. away from the angels, and maybe rearrange the decor so the angels' territorial behaviour is temporarily reduced, things may be fine.
It could also be that the angels have paired up and are preparing to breed - I don't know much about breeding angels, but I believe their territorial behaviour and agressiveness towards tankmates increases when they're getting ready to lay eggs.
 
thats what I have read and myself, that they are territorial and aggressive more so when ready to breed.

I have been thinking about raising an angel tank though I am totally thrilled with saltwater tanks also. grrr decisions to make and money to spend. not that I have the money
 
I knew they were territorial, but these guys have gotten donw right mean. They chase each other into the walls. I am sitting watching tv and hear the collision. I am going to my LFS today to see if they are interested in taking off my hands. I think I will replace them with a couple of Discus.
