Aggressive Oscar

As of late my oscar has been really acting aggressive. He is bullying my JD periodically and whenever he sees me he turns white and opens his mouth at me. He also attacks his reflection usually in the morning. The temperature is at 76F, water is good. Anyone know what's up with him? Did I do something to displease him?

The onset of disease or unfavorable tank conditions can drive a fish to be more iritable and aggressive. How long have your fish been tank mates?

The JD and Oscar have been tank mates for about a year.

are they the only take mates?
if they are the oscar may just be an aggressive oscar and has grown up, and now needs to chase something, maybe you could add some target fish like giant daniosfor him to chase around as opposed to the JD.
