Aggressive solo angel fish??

nope... my mom's angel got to 6 inches and still never touched the neons... guess it's 'cause she grew up with them! :joke:
If you do a search here you'll find that 95% of the people who tried to do that lost their neons. Even those who had them grow up together.

For some people it apparently has worked. However, it's very rare and because of that I, and a lot of other people, will not recommend keeping neons with angelfish.

It's not a "safe" thing and it's not worth the risk to a lot of people. Neons *are* what angels eat in the wild. If someone lost their neons because I told them that "sometimes it worked", even if I did say *sometimes*, I would feel like crappola.

So can the angel live with loaches,a pleco, and a small convict??

If i let the angel into the other tank and leave the gouramis where they are (with the corys and move the upside down catfish in with them too) would that be more suitable?
I suspect it has somehting to do with me finding eggs which im sure are the gouramis...they may be guarding them? Im reluctant to move the gouramis into the other tank, away from the angel because of the eggs...

any ideas?

roan, I always knew it was a miracle, and I wasn't advising her to put her neons in with her angel.

it all depends on the fish, but most angels will not do well with smaller angels, or other fish that look like angels (like gouramis with their feelers) although some angels dont have any of their wild traits (like mine, that seems to ignore the neons, for now at least) most retain at least a few...

just watch out... for now im part of that 5% minority
