Hello.
I used to have a small 6L tank where I had 2 very small bristlenose as well as other swordtails and guppies. 1 of my bristlenose died leaving the other one on his own. I had the bristlenose in the 6L for about 9 months and have since moved him to a 300L tank.

He is now about 3-4 inches long and have since got 2 more bristlenose. The only thing is that the original bristlenose is pretty aggressive towards the others, and even other fish in the tank.

I feed them pellets and zuccini quite regularely, but whenever the small ones go for the food, the big one always comes over and chases them off. I have since spread out the food over the tank to make it easier for the small ones to eat.

Is this common. The 2 small catfish don't mind sharing food and hanging out together, but the big one always chases them and is never seen around the others without getting agressive with them.

Any ideas, or is this common? I don't like making it worse by spreading the food, but it's the only way the small ones can get food sometimes.
