AH supply kits

Possibly but the problem is a 36W with a 17" long reflector is probably not going to light the whole 4' length of the tank... unless you dont mind it being a bit darker near the ends.

i am thinking about getting 2 ah supply 36 watt kits for my 55. that would bring my wattage up to about 1 wpg. do i reuse my hood, and take out the original tube/ballast, and install the kit there? or do i buy a new hood? thanks, im a newbie when it comes to this!

but still has plenty of spaces with uneven light

heres the socket i am going to use if anybody cares. lol. i will have 2 of them on each hood, with an aditional lamp socket in the middle of the hood, so i will have pretty even lighting. right now i bought a 4 pack of 13 watt cf's so i can test the watts, and their light is 5750k i think. its alot whiter than my original hood lights anyways. thanks for all the suggestions.

You get the two bulb kit which offers either 2 shorter or one longer reflector.

well i got one of the hoods semi completed. its pretty shabby looking, but it works fine. i will also add another dual socket in the middle, but i just wanted to see how it would work with 2 lights. its light is a more yellow, natural light than my old tubes. the last one is with the flash..
