air for fish

Which they do get the air from the disturbance. How do you think there is air in water run through a canister? Disturbance. Is simple science. The more surface area the more contact to exchange air. Same thing with plants. The bigger the leave the more photosynthesis can occur which in turn allows growth.

Yet, it requires more sugars and nitrogen to grow as it gets larger, and thus, slows down it's growth. Well, in most plants it does...

I love the new koralia powerheads. I thought it would be overkill for the tank but there perfect. Got them just in time because I was starting to get a lot of algae in the dead spots. I also like that it is really quiet.

I recently picked up a korellia nano for my 29.

Seems to be good, rather than the blasting streams my other power head gave, I can see the food floating more random throughout the tank now versus flowing like in a stream.

My algae actually seems worse LOL I may add the other one back in.
