Air pump?

-I've set the filter lower than the water line and it made even more of a ruckus with the surface of the water. Right now the top of the filter and the water level are as close together as possible without making it above the water level.

-Forget everything! Lol.. I've put my Bettas back in their original tanks (they were much happier there anyways) and I bought 4 new tropical fish for my 10 gallon tank. Heater, Filter, decoration, airstone, pump (of course). Heater is set up perfectly, the fish love it so far. Thanks for those that helped me figure out what I needed.

under gravel filters are almost free .A cool trick is to use a powerhead set to regular output use a couple inches of 1/2 " cleartube(or whatever size hose fits pwoerhead outflow securely without slipping off from the blast) to attatch an elbow & another small piece of tube so you can have another elbow connecter that will ai @ the opposite lift tube. Now use the same type hose to go across to the other lift tube of your UGF& connect yet another elbow connector point it down into the other lift tube then use the next sized clear hose & fit a few inches or more(no more than will fit down into your lift tube) if it is not good & snugg make sure it reaches down to the bottom of lift tube it should be almosr a perfect fit , if so you need only connect it @ top with a couple inches of hose .If its a small powerhead you may want to use only one elbow 4 the second lift tube .
So the powerhead sucks out of one lift tube & spits water into the other lift tube (the hard plastic clear pipes that come with your UGF undergravelfilter)
via your hose attatchment .the elbows used because hose doesnt bend well without kinking.

So I go into the hardwearstore downtown with a piece of 1/2 inch hose & say I need some hose this will fit in & the cashier looked @ me like my fly was open as I showed my sample   but the salesperson knew just what I needed. & charged me for it ,does that make him a pimp? :joke: :joke:
