Anyone run an airstone or something else to create surface agitation and a source for o2 when the lights and co2 go off over night? Wondering if I should add a pump to a timer and add a source for o2?

just set your co2 to turn off an hour before lights go off and turn on hour before they go on.. But its pointless to run airstone at night. You will experience great ph fluctuations like that.

I have Co2 set to go off 1hr before lights are off and come on 2hrs before lights come on in morning to make sure the water is saturated when the lights fire up.

However I have read that there are benefits to having an o2 source at night when the plants are not providing it. Found an interesting post on another forum showing DO (Dissolved o2) results at different times of the day/night...

I should add that I currently have practically zero surface agitation. The post I referenced above said the only time you will get PH fluctuations is if you have lower KH levels - mine has been pretty high.

I think I might put an airstone on a timer for a few hours over night.
