Not sure if this is "usual", but I have an albino cory, (small one maybe 1" long), and every day I see him floating at the top upside down looking quite dead. Yesterday he even floated downward, motionless and then suddenly sprung into action. Not sure what's going on, but seems perfectly fine other than this weird behavior. Anyone else see this?

Not in cory's but have seen this in goldfish and gourami's. Usually it's due to poor quality food (low quality pellets etc) that cause excess air to build up in their swim bladder. You can try maybe making up some "snail jello" with pea baby food (some bottom dwellers will accept this) or see if you can get it to eat de-shelled peas or duckweed. Those are supposed to help with swim bladder disease. I can't say for certain but that is what it sounds like to me.

My cories do some weird things... Sometimes they'll lie on their sides and I'll think they're dead but once I come close to the tank they're right back up again. I've never had one just float to the top of the tank like that, that does sound strange. Could be water quality or not enough food? What are you feeding them?

One of my panda cories used to sleep up in the top of one of my plants, in a corner, right near the surface. The first time I saw this, I waited 10-15 minutes, and when he was still there, I went to scoop him out to get rid of the dead body, but he actually wasn't dead and zoomed around for a few minutes. There was nothing wrong with the water and I've never seen it from any other fish. Just him.

I'm feeding them Hikari Sinking Wafers. On the advice of some AC members, I'm feeding them at night to avoid my Platies chowing their wafers before the the cories get to them.

All corys are on crack.

My peppered corys used to do this frequently.

Possibly a swim bladder problem?

My gf's cories are crazy, they sit motionless for a LONG time.
Zoom around.

It might just be a weird cory.

Being a 1 inch fish how tall is the tank. He may be having trouble getting to the top to adjust his air bubble. Cories often lay down it is part of the mating ritual. My pandas love sleeping off the bottom in large mats of java moss natural thing for them I guess. Actually they spend more time in the moss than anywhere. The only other thing I can think of is starvation or hunger or a swim bladder problem. Cories are strange remeber there cats most felines are wierd too.

I just got three albino cories and they are doing the same thing, minus floating at the top... Mine are on the go one second and then the next I look at the tank, they are siting on the bottom, sometimes they almost look to be tilted. The only way I know they aren't dead is that their operculars are still going. I feed them these algae sinking wafers, one per day as I've got a bit of a snail and black hair algae problem I'm trying to keep under wraps. Are they just resting? Do I need to feed them a biger/better variety of food?
