I just got an albino cory catfish from petsmart. I read that they are a very peaceful fish so I thought that would be a nice little companion for my Apple snail and will keep the tank a bit cleaner by eat up all the food my apple snail leaves behind. But Now I'm noticing that the little guy might be annoying for the snail more than anything else! I don't know if its trying to clean the snail or if its accually nibbling on her. He will go along her shell and along her face and she will just suck into her shell and wait till he's done, then she will be on her way. I LOVE my apple snail and I don;t want to stress her out or anything. Shes just over an inch long and the albino cory catfish is about the same length as well.

Is this normal? Or is he trying to nibble on her? :help:

make sure to feed your cory too..... ie, don't just have it eat leftover snail chow. I've never known a cory to be agressive, he might just be looking to eat.

How big of a tank?

Corys do like to be in groups. Maybe he is lonesome.

O yeah they get theeir own food as well, dont worry lol. He's a little piggy! I feed the both the snail and the catfish some sinking waffers and I also add some flake food. Just seemed like it was annoying to the snail, she won't suck in ALL the way into her shell, just her head. Thanks for all the help. I was worried I would have to take him back...and I'm already attached to the little guy. I'll keep an eye on him. :D
